Steve Myers

Steve has been playing guitar for 25 years, piano for over 30, and drums for around 20 years. He also plays bass, mandolin, banjo and ukulele. Steve has been teaching music for over 15 years, has many influences, and both plays and teaches many styles such as rock, acoustic, jazz, funk, hard rock, and country. In addition to teaching, Steve also plays in numerous bands around town from original bands like Odd Man Out, various cover bands and even a Tool Tribute band (Parabol – The Tool Experience).

Brian Holmes

Brian’s interest in music started early. Classically trained at the Conservatory, Brian has studied piano for nearly 20 years and bass guitar for nearly 10. Brian has recorded and released 4 albums, is a guest musician on several local releases, and has been on two cross Canada tours with Gates of Winter, and Woods of Ypres. Today, Brian writes music for his progressive rock project, Machines Dream.

Mikaela Murtonen

Mikaela teaches Piano and Vocals at Case’s. She has Classical and Jazz Piano Training, including Grade 8 Piano, 7 years of guitar experience, 4 years of bass experience, and 2 years of ukulele experience. She further studied Audio Production at Harris Institute, and is a self-taught singer who is currently studying classical voice. She is also a singer and songwriter and was the first place winner in the Provincial and Canada songwriting competition 2 years in a row.

Todd Webb

Todd’s musical journey began at the age of two with private instruction on the piano through the Algoma Conservatory of Music, followed by violin at three, classical guitar at four, and later fiddle and mandolin. Throughout his life, Todd has performed, and continues to perform frequently with his family band WebbSurround for community events, private functions, seniors centres, churches, schools, weddings and Community Living Algoma Group Homes. As a result of his work in the community, he received the prestigious Cultural Advisory Board Award from the City of Sault Ste. Marie in 2009. He received multiple awards in voice, guitar, violin and piano at the local Kiwanis Music Festivals between 2005 to 2013, and also competed at the 2013 Ontario Music Festival in four separate disciplines: piano, violin, concert voice and vocal musical theatre. During that competition, he received the highest award in Ontario for RCM Grade 8 violin. Todd also sang with his friends in the Advanced Vocal Choir under the direction of Agnes McCarthy at the Algoma Conservatory of Music, and played several supporting roles in theatre productions by The Musical Comedy Guild and Theatre SMC.

Adam King

With his father being a piano tuner and musician, Adam has been around music his whole life. He began piano lessons at 6 years old and was a self-taught electric guitarist until completing his Bachelor’s in Music at Algoma University. Although he didn’t begin his academic training until 36 years old, his passion for teaching led him to work with students at The Ontario School of Music, Case’s Music, and Boc to Roc. A local musician with nearly 5000 gigs under his belt, including being part of the original Mustang Heart, he’s a lifelong learner and is always eager to learn new instruments and help students find an instrument they’re passionate about too. Other bands he’s played in include Flashback, Hollow, S.R.O., The Millionaires, and The Mama’s Boys.

Madii Schomogy

Madii is a passionate performer and musician and was self-taught until starting lessons at Case’s in 2017. She has been performing in front of large audiences since the age of 14 with her band and since then has performed in countless shows in the Algoma District and even participated in a tour of Southern Ontario with Mustang Sally. Throughout high school Madii performed in Korah’s musicals and choir, and formed the band L!ME in which she is the lead singer. Madii also plays the guitar, ukulele, piano and drums and writes her own music.

Elizabeth Alloi

Elizabeth’s musical training started early when, at age 5, she began taking private lessons at the Algoma Conservatory of Music. Not long after, she participated in the Shield Competition for Flute, was accepted as a member of the Ontario Youth Choir in 2008 to 2009, competed at Ontario Music Festivals Association provincial competition for Grades 7-10 Voice, and studied Classical Voice with a concentration in musical theatre under the direction of Agnes McCarthy at Algoma University. She has been teaching private lessons at Case’s Music for three years while playing several lead roles in theatre productions put on by the Musical Comedy Guild. 

Nicolette Rebello

Nicolette Rebello, an accomplished voice and piano instructor at Case's Music, has been immersed in the world of music from a very young age. She began her musical journey at three, showcasing her vocal talents in various competitions. Her profound connection with music led her to pursue formal education in the field, culminating in her move to Canada in 2019 to study voice at Algoma University. Alongside her vocal training, Nicolette has a rich history in piano, mastering the instrument through years of lessons. Her extensive musical expertise is not just limited to her own practice but extends to nurturing new talents. Since joining Case's Music in 2022, Nicolette has been instrumental in leading the 'Mommy and Me' programs, alongside teaching voice and piano. Her diverse experience and deep passion for music make her an invaluable asset to the musical community.

Chloe Lavoie

Jeffrey Chen

Jeffrey Chen, a multi-talented musician with 12 years of violin experience and six years in piano, is a prominent second violinist in the Sault Symphony Orchestra and a regular performer in Korah's Musical Theatre program. At Case's Music, he passionately teaches guitar, piano, violin, and ukulele, showcasing his diverse musical skills and enthusiasm. Additionally, Jeffrey nurtures a unique interest in the cowbell, adding an unconventional touch to his musical repertoire. He is also well-known locally for his acoustic act, 'Drifter', through which he engages and entertains the community with his musical talents. Jeffrey's varied abilities and dedication to both performing and teaching music make him a notable and inspiring figure in the local music scene.
